The sunflower field creates a beautiful backdrop, but the people you bring with you are what make these photographs meaningful.
For couples, it’s an excuse to plan a date, get out of Halifax and create photographs together that feel relaxed, romantic and genuinely like you.
For families, it’s an opportunity to freeze the laughter, personalities and connection you see every day, without expecting your children to sit perfectly still or smile at the camera for the entire session.
I’ll guide you using relaxed prompts that create natural movement, genuine smiles and plenty of candid moments. You don’t need to know how to pose, and your children don’t need to be perfectly behaved. You only need to arrive ready to spend some time together.

These sessions give your family time to play, cuddle and laugh together while I photograph the personalities and connections that make your family yours. We’ll capture a few traditional smiling photographs, but children are also welcome to move, explore and be themselves.

Make a Day of It at Dakeyne Farm
Located in Mount Denson, approximately an hour outside Halifax, Dakeyne Farm offers the perfect excuse to slow down and spend an afternoon together.
Your session fee includes admission to the Sunflower Maze, so your visit doesn’t have to end when your photographs are finished. Wander through the flowers, explore the farm, play outdoor games, take in the fresh air and enjoy some uninterrupted time together.
Instead of fitting another appointment into your weekend, turn your session into an experience the whole family, or the two of you, can enjoy.

Before your session, you’ll receive the location details and a preparation guide with outfit suggestions and everything else you need to know.
5. Receive Your Gallery
Your completed photographs will be delivered through a private online gallery approximately two weeks after your session.
