Plan your session around your visit to the orchard and make an afternoon of it. Take your photos, pick some apples and enjoy getting out of the city together.

No pressure to pose perfectly

You don’t need to know what to do with your hands or how to arrange everyone. I’ll guide you through the session using simple directions that feel natural.

Capture everyone in the family

Parents are often the ones taking the pictures and are missing from far too many of them. This is your opportunity to step in front of the camera and be part of the memory.

Get both classic and candid photographs

We’ll begin with a few classic poses, the smiling-at-the-camera photographs everyone loves to frame. Then we’ll add walking, movement, apple picking and natural interactions.

Preserve an annual tradition

Apple picking may happen every fall, but your family will never look exactly as they do right now. These photographs let you hold onto this year’s version of the tradition.

Apple Orchard Minis are a great fit for families, couples and parents who want updated photographs in a relaxed outdoor setting.

This is my only apple orchard mini session date of the summer, and once they’re gone, they’re gone until next year.
Reserve your preferred time before it’s booked. There is no general admission charge to visit Gates U-Pick. Apples, produce, cider and any other items you choose to purchase are paid for separately through the farm. Ride availability is determined by the farm and may vary.

** If rain is expected September 27th, the rain date of October 3rd will be applied. If bad weather persists, other arrangements will be made for an additional date or your deposit maybe applied to another mini session.

How Booking Works

1. Select your preferred time

Complete the booking form and choose from the available session times. Appointments are first-come, first-served.

2. Make it official

You’ll receive your contract and invoice by email. Your session is reserved once the contract is signed and the 50% non-refundable deposit has been paid.

3. Prepare without overthinking it

Before your session, I’ll send the important details you need, including where to meet and how to prepare. You’re always welcome to reach out if you need help choosing outfits.

4. Come ready to have fun

We’ll begin with a few traditional family portraits before moving into playful prompts and natural moments. I’ll guide you, but your family’s connection and personality will lead the session.

5. Receive your finished gallery

Your 20 edited images will be delivered in a private Pixieset gallery, with high-resolution downloads for printing and web-sized copies for social media.

What makes these sessions different?

I don’t expect young children to stand still and smile on command for an entire session. My approach combines simple guidance with space for your family to interact naturally.

Your child can be playful, curious, cuddly, cautious or full of energy. Those little personality traits are part of what makes this time worth remembering.
