Bundle up, bring the family, or make it a festive date together among the evergreens. My Christmas mini sessions are back for another year, with the full Christmas tree farm experience returning to Wolfville and, for the first time, a closer-to-home option in Halifax.
The Christmas trees create a beautiful holiday backdrop, but the people you bring with you are what make these photographs meaningful.
For couples, it’s an excuse to bundle up, spend some time together and create photographs that feel warm, romantic and genuinely like you, with just enough Christmas magic in the background.
For families, it’s an opportunity to capture the excitement, personalities and connection that make this Christmas yours, without expecting your children to sit perfectly still or give me their best camera smile for the entire session.
I’ll guide you using relaxed prompts that create natural movement, genuine smiles and plenty of candid moments. You don’t need to know how to pose, and your children don’t need to be perfectly behaved.
You only need to arrive ready to have some fun together and enjoy a little piece of the holiday season.

Can’t make the drive to Wolfville? My new Halifax Christmas Mini Sessions at The Dingle offer the evergreen look closer to home, tucked into a beautiful wooded area right here in the city.
Whichever you choose, you’ll receive the same relaxed photography experience and 20 professionally edited photographs.
LJKR Balsam Fir Christmas Tree Farm • Wolfville

If you’ve been dreaming of family Christmas photos surrounded by rows of real Christmas trees, this is the experience I’d recommend.
LJKR Balsam Fir Christmas Tree Farm gives us a beautiful natural backdrop filled with evergreens while the farm is actively open for the Christmas season.
Your photographs don’t have to be the only reason for the trip, either.
After your session, choose the Christmas tree you’ll bring home, browse the farm’s handmade wreaths and enjoy everything that comes with visiting a real Christmas tree farm during December.
Dogs are also welcome to join your session but must remain on a leash at all times while visiting the farm.

Last year, I heard from several people who loved the idea of my Christmas Tree Farm Minis but simply couldn’t make the trip outside the city.
So this year, I’m bringing a little bit of that Christmas tree feeling closer to home.
Tucked into the woods at The Dingle is a beautiful cluster of evergreens that gives us a natural, cozy Christmas backdrop without the drive to Wolfville.
These Halifax Christmas Mini Sessions are perfect if you want the evergreen setting and relaxed holiday photographs but need something a little easier to fit into your December plans.
You’ll still get the same 20-minute experience, relaxed direction and 20 professionally edited photographs—just closer to home.
Make It a Christmas Date
You don’t need an engagement, anniversary or special announcement to have meaningful photographs of your relationship.
Bundle up and spend some time together among the evergreens. Your session will focus on natural interaction, movement and the connection that already exists between you—not spending 20 minutes trying to hold the perfect pose.
If you’re joining me in Wolfville, turn the drive into a festive date with a trip into town afterward. If you’re choosing Halifax, grab a coffee, go for a walk or head somewhere for dinner after your session.
